Another Year Gone!

Hard to believe the 2009 NVQG is over! We celebrated our last meeting with a wonderful and yummy pot luck dinner and gift exchange.

The food was fabulous! Thanks to everyone who supplied side dishes and the chicken from Tony's BBQ Bistro in Walnut was to die for!

We had a fun gift exchange and we also brought show and tell of completed projects from the year. What a great time seeing the beautiful completed items. I got so wrapped up in gawking that I didnt get one picture! My bad.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our little guild for allowing me to preside for the last two years. I had a lot of fun and am honored to have served. Your gift basket was awesome. Im enjoying a "cupa" as I type this message.

On another sad note, I would like to extend our sympathy to Ione and Charlie Hughes in the loss of their dear daughter. Ione, we missed you on Tuesday night, but our hearts are full of love and sympathy for you and your family as you go through this most difficult time.

2009 Quilt Show another Success!

October 3, 2009 was the date of our 3rd annual Quilt show. Held at the Walnut Community Schools, the show was a complete success. From set up to take down things went smoothly and we had a lot of fun!

Our raffle quilt was won by Susan Atkinson of Florence, Alabama! Susan is an internet friend of Kathy Humann's and a mother of a Navy Sailor serving on the USS George Washington Aircraft Carrier. Thanks for your service, Cody!
